SPF Filters
Zinc Oxide
(Mineral Filter)
What it does: Protects from UV + calms redness.
Best for: Sensitive or acne-prone skin.
Glow Tip: Best for minimal white cast formulas.
Titanium Dioxide (Mineral Filter)
What it does: UV protection + gentle on sensitive skin.
Best for: Kids, sensitive skin, rosacea.
Glow Tip: Works well in tint formulas.
Avobenzone (Chemical Filter)
What it does: Protects against UVA rays, the ones responsible for aging and hyperpigmentation.
Best for: Most skin types — but can irritate extremely sensitive skin.
Glow Tip: Works best when stabilized with octocrylene or modern filters.
Tinosorb S / Tinosorb M (Chemical + Hybrid Filters)
What it does: Modern, stable European filters that protect strongly against UVA + UVB with minimal irritation.
Best for: All skin types — especially those who want high UVA protection.
Glow Tip: Many Korean and EU sunscreens use Tinosorb for that “barely-there” feel.
Uvinul A Plus + Uvinul T 150 (Chemical Filters)
What it does: Lightweight filters that protect against UVA (A Plus) and UVB (T 150).
Best for: Oily, combination, and dark skin — no white cast and very comfortable.
Glow Tip: If the sunscreen feels weightless and invisible, it probably has Uvinul.
